The Story Behind Hannah

Hannah was a woman who was broken, discouraged, and longing. Year after year she carried the heartbreak of not being able to have a child — a burden so heavy it brought her to her knees. But in her deepest moment of brokenness, she didn't pull away from God. She ran to Him.

In her pain and brokenness she came before the Lord real, raw, and surrendered — vowing to God that if He would give her a son, she would give him back to the Lord to serve God in the Tabernacle for his whole life. She poured out her heart, and God heard her. He answered her. He made her strong.

Her son Samuel was used by God as His prophet and messenger — and it all started with a mother who refused to stop bringing her pain to God.
